Working with an Alaska Native Corporation (ANC)

8(a) Contracting Benefits

LRG Services, LLC (LRG), owned by an Alaska Native Corporation (ANC), is currently certified under the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) 8(a) Program. This Program allows us to be eligible for special contracting and subcontracting initiatives and government-directed award opportunities. Through the SBA 8(a) Program, we experience unique advantages with the Federal government.

  • Sole Source 8(a): LRG may be awarded sole-source 8(a) Federal contracts of any size and is not subject to the competitive threshold amount, per 13 C.F.R. 124.506(b). Without a Justification & Approval (J&A), the SBA may award a sole source 8(a) contract to an ANC with a value: ≤ $25M (Fed Civ Agencies), and ≤ $100M (DoD). With approved J&A, no dollar threshold for ANC sole source award
  • Non Protest: Competitive and sole source 8(a) awards made to LRG are exempt from protests. 13 CFR 124.517(a)
  • Small Disadvantage Business (SDB) Credit for Subcontracts: Subcontracts awarded to LRG can be applied towards the goals for SDB and small business concerns, regardless of our size or SBA certification status. 48 CFR 19.703(c)(1)
  • 5% Incentive Program: A contractor who receives an award by a Federal agency is eligible to receive 5% of the total value of the subcontract, if the subcontractor is Indian-owned. This is an incentive as part of the Buy Indian Act.  Section 504 of the Indian Financing Act of 1974 (25 U.S.C. § 1544) and FAR 52.226-1

The SBA 8(a) Program fosters economic self-determination for Alaska Natives and small disadvantaged firms through business opportunities.

Without solicitation protests getting in the way, not only is the success of the contract guaranteed, but it is also moved through the bidding process quickly and efficiently. This acquisition strategy saves your agency time and money so you won’t have to experience gaps in operational capacity. It’s all part of how our small business leaders work to advance your agency’s mission.

Ultimately, the SBA 8(a) Program empowers us to achieve our mission of bringing benefits to Leisnoi Shareholders now and into the future.

HUBZone Contracting Benefits

  •  A HUBZone Certification provides a 10%  price evaluation preference in full and open contract competitions.
  • The federal government has a goal of awarding 3% of all dollars for federal prime and sub contracts to HUBZone-certified small business concerns.
